.8 Mile Walk


The 2017 Wicked Halloween Run was my second run and my first hometown run. I was able to walk to the start from our home in the morning.  I dressed up in my Halloween costume of Harley Quinn.  It’s a costume I’ve been putting a lot of time into for the past month.  I haven’t gotten so involved in a Halloween costume for years.  I’ve always like Harley Quinn and her colors.  It wasn’t just a one store and done costume.  I saw Andrea and her family.  There were so many runners dressed in costumes when I got to downtown.  I tried to take as many pictures as I could.  I loved the Katy Perry left sharks and The Pope.  It was hard running in a full costume.  I ran past our home on the course. That was my favorite part.  This was my first costume run and first run with friends. I went to breakfast with Andrea's family at Bode’s after the run.  It was great. I met her grandma that runs and got to talk to her grandpa for awhile about his life.

   Nite Lites 2019 Photos 53 Mile Drive The 2019 Lite Nite's Run was a one of a kind event!!! It's uniqueness is unmatched. I was very ignorant and only knew of the Milan Dragway in Michigan. I did not know Michigan had an International Speedway until I registered for this run.  The drive to Brooklyn was a beautiful 43 mile sunset drive on Michigan Avenue. For being a night light run it was shocking that the entrance to the speedway had only one light. It was so dark I passed it twice. 😂😂 I think something, even a stand alone snowman could have been put out to help guide people. Once I made the right turn in we immediately went under the most claustrophobic light tunnel to get into the V.I.P parking area for runners and spectators. The tunnels were very cool. BATTLE CREEK HALF MARATHON (Battle Creek - 2019 - 13.1 Miles)

   Battle Creek Half Marathon 2019 Photos 99 Mile Drive The 2019 Battle Creek Half Marathon was my second half marathon!  I convinced Jake, a.k.a The Speedy Sloth to join me.  It was an easy run to persuade someone to register for with the awesome race shirts and perks.  Jake and I loved the American colors and city skyline design on the tech T-shirt.  It is one of the best shirt designs of all time.  I did not know Battle Creek would be Speedy Sloth's first half marathon.  It was huge for him to cross over from cycling into long distance running.  I ordered a Battle Creek visor to go with my shirt.  It's something I don't usually do.  I felt compelled to get it with the unique situation and accomplishment of the race. CELTIC WARRIOR RUN (Berkley - 2018 - 5K)

   Celtic Warrior Run 2018 Photos 24 Mile Drive 2018 was the first year of the Berkley Celtic Warrior Run!  The Irish Festival in Berkley was amazing.  We loved the fairy door hunt, green bagels and amazing Artisans.  We spent an hour finding all the fairy doors in town.  While fairy door hunting we found an awesome chocolate house.  The kids made Irish crafts.  I absolutely love the scarf I got instead of a shirt.  They had a photo booth. I loved the people in Irish warrior and Irish priest costumes.  They had a parade of bag pipers walk down the street.  Their medal display was one of a kind in a cone shape.  As always, I did not drink the post-run beer, but I had to get a picture of it because it was the Celtic Run.  This was one of my favorite runs.  The course was flat.  It weaved through neighborhoods.  I ran well.  I was really motivated for reasons I cannot explain.  I’ve been to Berkley a ...
