Romeo Peach Run - 2019 - 10K

The 2019 Peach Run was very hilly and it rained on us for about eight minutes.  I hadn't officially done a 10K since Chelsea in May.  I ran the 10K and Luke ran the 5K.  I liked that Luke came in before me.  We saw awesome dogs and ran through the best finish line of all time!!!  THEY HAD A GIANT BULLDOG MOUTH WITH TEETH!....More

   Battle Creek Half Marathon 2019 Photos 99 Mile Drive The 2019 Battle Creek Half Marathon was my second half marathon!  I convinced Jake, a.k.a The Speedy Sloth to join me.  It was an easy run to persuade someone to register for with the awesome race shirts and perks.  Jake and I loved the American colors and city skyline design on the tech T-shirt.  It is one of the best shirt designs of all time.  I did not know Battle Creek would be Speedy Sloth's first half marathon.  It was huge for him to cross over from cycling into long distance running.  I ordered a Battle Creek visor to go with my shirt.  It's something I don't usually do.  I felt compelled to get it with the unique situation and accomplishment of the race. GLOW RUN (Owosso - 2019 - 5K)

   Glow Run Owosso 2019 Photos 78 Mile Drive The 2019 Glow 5K that kicked off Glow Owosso was out of this world awesome!  The packet pick-up staff were upbeat and friendly at Hankerd Sportswear.  It was very warm inside.  They had the coolest goodie bags with the BEST caramel corn!  I ate the entire small bag at the parade after offering it to everyone.  How did Jason turn it down?  I will never know.  I also got a toothbrush, toothpaste and a mini candy cane!  All the glowing participants made for a totally unique race start.  I got pictures with a bunch of them!  I saw a stringed light group.  They were my personal favorite. The course itself was the most troublesome part of the race for me and the only negative I give to this run.  It was very dark and the streets had pot holes and breaks in the road that were hard to spot.  It was a different kind of obstacle.  I made it through the course without trippi...

HOLIDAY HUSTLE (Dexter - 2017 - 5K)

   Holiday Hustle 2017 Photos 28 Mile Drive The Holiday Hustle was at 4:30pm which was a big change from morning running.  They recommended wearing reflective lights.  I put glow wear on since it was my first event in the dark.  I combined my elf costume from the Santa Hat Hustle in Royal Oak and my old high school homemade elf costume for this run.  I got to meet a great couple dressed as Buddy the Elf and Jovie.  They have a few really cool vender tents in the park that we stopped at after the run.  I got kennel corn and Aleah bought me a 5K keychain gift.  They gave out awesome beanies and had great medals.  If you got all three medals for their Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas run they connected magnetically.  This was my first time not getting a race shirt.  I brought home other trinkets in place of the running shirt.   Dexter Page
