   Battle Creek Half Marathon 2019 Photos 99 Mile Drive The 2019 Battle Creek Half Marathon was my second half marathon!  I convinced Jake, a.k.a The Speedy Sloth to join me.  It was an easy run to persuade someone to register for with the awesome race shirts and perks.  Jake and I loved the American colors and city skyline design on the tech T-shirt.  It is one of the best shirt designs of all time.  I did not know Battle Creek would be Speedy Sloth's first half marathon.  It was huge for him to cross over from cycling into long distance running.  I ordered a Battle Creek visor to go with my shirt.  It's something I don't usually do.  I felt compelled to get it with the unique situation and accomplishment of the race. HOLIDAY HUSTLE (Dexter - 2017 - 5K)

   Holiday Hustle 2017 Photos 28 Mile Drive The Holiday Hustle was at 4:30pm which was a big change from morning running.  They recommended wearing reflective lights.  I put glow wear on since it was my first event in the dark.  I combined my elf costume from the Santa Hat Hustle in Royal Oak and my old high school homemade elf costume for this run.  I got to meet a great couple dressed as Buddy the Elf and Jovie.  They have a few really cool vender tents in the park that we stopped at after the run.  I got kennel corn and Aleah bought me a 5K keychain gift.  They gave out awesome beanies and had great medals.  If you got all three medals for their Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas run they connected magnetically.  This was my first time not getting a race shirt.  I brought home other trinkets in place of the running shirt.   Dexter Page

CELTIC WARRIOR RUN (Berkley - 2018 - 5K)

   Celtic Warrior Run 2018 Photos 24 Mile Drive 2018 was the first year of the Berkley Celtic Warrior Run!  The Irish Festival in Berkley was amazing.  We loved the fairy door hunt, green bagels and amazing Artisans.  We spent an hour finding all the fairy doors in town.  While fairy door hunting we found an awesome chocolate house.  The kids made Irish crafts.  I absolutely love the scarf I got instead of a shirt.  They had a photo booth. I loved the people in Irish warrior and Irish priest costumes.  They had a parade of bag pipers walk down the street.  Their medal display was one of a kind in a cone shape.  As always, I did not drink the post-run beer, but I had to get a picture of it because it was the Celtic Run.  This was one of my favorite runs.  The course was flat.  It weaved through neighborhoods.  I ran well.  I was really motivated for reasons I cannot explain.  I’ve been to Berkley a ...
